| A gallery with trains and a plane-the first visit to Britain by the A380 Airbus, flying low over Broughton and Hawarden Airfield on its way to Heathrow, as a tribute to the Aerospace workers who have manufactured the wings here. I hoped for a picture of the plane and a train in the same shot, but this was not to be- darn it! |
The A380 makes a low pass over the airfield. If only there had been a train coming!! 2006-05-19 11:37:00 Buy Print |
The Airbus glides towards Hawarden Airfield, with undercarriage lowered. An impressive sight. 2006-05-19 11:36:00 Buy Print |
Shortly before the Airbus arrived, the 0950 Holyhead-Euston Voyager sped past, so that target was out! 2006-05-19 11:16:00 Buy Print |
Whilst waiting for the plane, 158845 passed with the 0928 Holyhead-Crewe. 2006-05-19 11:03:00 Buy Print |
66506 Crewe Regeneration passes the airfield perimiter with empty ballast wagons for Penmaenmawr. A shame it wasn't late-a day I actually hoped for delays! 2006-05-19 10:55:00 Buy Print |
Banking away and onwards to Heathrow. A VERY quiet aircraft (Bigger fan blades in the Rolls Royce Engines, I believe). 2006-05-19 00:00:00 Buy Print |
